A surprisingly common delusion, the story of the original Flagpole Sitta, and what they can tell us about the intersection of culture and mental health.

Warning: repeated usage of anatomical terms for uh... certain portions of anatomy... but NOT in any sort of racy or gory fashion.

Have you ever heard the Bauhaus song Terror Couple Kills Colonel? I recently spent the three days earwormed with it after Netflix bingeing a British television series called "Killer Couples".

This got me thinking: True Crime media is pretty obsessed with "Partners in crime" but what factors create these infamous poisonous pairs?

This episode discusses a relevant turning point in social science and a specific flavor of the "Partner in Crime".

Thank Yous and Announcements

Anybody up for a true crime(+) book club?

Good, because I just made the Murder of The Month  club on Facebook and we need help picking our March book.

This will be the usual book a month format with online discussions at the end. These will be primarily true crime but I hope to get the occasional fiction piece in there too.

I'd REALLY love to do some informal video posts on Patreon to go along with that so if you have questions/suggestions do not hesitate to hit me up!

What do you do when your worldview asks you to look for the best in someone but what you are faced with is the very worst?

The documentary "A Wise Fool" has one take on this question, but this week's Quid Pro Quo episode discusses why in this particular case a background in Forensic Psychology might lead you to a different conclusion.
